Iodine Drops
Iodine is an essential nutrient for the production of the body's thyroid hormones and is therefore required for normal thyroid function. The thyroid hormones are responsible for our basal metabolic rate (BMR), which reflects the body's use of energy. The thyroid hormones are also needed for normal growth and development, protein synthesis, cholesterol synthesis, carbohydrate absorption, energy metabolism, nerve and bone formation, reproduction, the condition of the skin, hair, nails and teeth, and our speech and mental state.

Recommended Dose: Take 1 drop daily or as otherwise directed. The iodine drop ca be taken in a glass of fruit juice or other acidic drink (i.e. add 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar to a glass of water) and sip the drink throughout the course of the meal. Ensure the dropper is held horizontally to obtain the correct amount.
Precautions and Contraindications: Please note that there are indications when sufficient iodine has been taken. If the body is saturated with iodine, you will find that within 0.5 to 1.5 hours of taking the iodine-containing drink, there will be a release of moisture from the nose. If this occurs, stop dosing for a period of one month. |
